Overview
Coginiti 25.11 delivers major platform enhancements across database connectivity, secure authentication, AI assisted development, and semantic understanding. This release includes full Oracle support, editor integrated AI, expanded enterprise authentication, and the public preview of the Coginiti Semantic Layer. These capabilities strengthen Coginiti as the unified workspace for analytics and data engineering teams who need governance, intelligence, and modularity built into every stage of data work.
New in 25.11
Full Oracle Support (19c and 23ai)
Coginiti now provides complete and tested support for Oracle Database 19c and Oracle Database 23ai.
This includes:
- High performance connectivity and SQL execution
- Full compatibility with Oracle schema browsing, explain plans, and result grid features
- Support for CoginitiScript, enabling modular analytics development, parameterization, and multi step orchestration of Oracle workloads
- End to end workflow development for analysts and engineers working with Oracle based systems
Organizations running core operational and analytical workloads on Oracle can now standardize development and orchestration inside Coginiti with complete platform support.
Expanded Enterprise Authentication with SAML
Coginiti now supports SAML authentication in addition to existing LDAP and OAuth options.
This enhancement provides:
- Single sign on through major identity providers such as Okta, Azure AD, and Ping
- Alignment with enterprise authentication and authorization standards
- Reduced administrative effort for user access management
AI Integrated Into the Editor Workspace
AI assisted development is now directly embedded in the Coginiti editor. Users can prompt the system to generate code, optimize queries, explain logic, or troubleshoot errors. The AI system understands your database platform, SQL dialect, metadata, and schema, which results in higher quality and context aligned outputs.
Features include:
- Code generation, optimization, and explanation from natural language prompts
- Diff view of generated changes with the option to accept or reject updates
- Full human in the loop control for all AI assisted changes
- Updated support for the latest foundation models from Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI
This creates a development environment designed specifically for data engineering and SQL centric workflows.
Public Preview: Coginiti Semantic Layer
Coginiti 25.11 introduces the public preview of the Coginiti Semantic Layer, a structured and governed representation of the analytical concepts used across an organization. The Semantic Layer defines metrics, dimensions, entities, hierarchies, and relationships as shared assets that ensure consistency between teams, tools, and automated systems.
From the documentation:
The semantic layer provides a foundation for consistent business logic, enabling organizations to define metrics, dimensions, entities, and relationships in a platform agnostic way. It allows both humans and AI agents to interact with structured data using governed, descriptive definitions that ensure accuracy and repeatability across analytical use cases.
Semantic Layer JDBC Driver (v1.0.0)
The JDBC driver for integrating the Semantic Layer into BI tools or custom applications is available here:

Other Improvements
- Performance and stability improvements throughout the editor, catalog, and result grid
- Enhanced logging, diagnostics, and enterprise observability
- Broader metadata awareness within AI assisted SQL flows
